SF-based Production Company PianoFight will celebrate its 500th performance in 5 years with the site specific, waterside show Roughin' It 2: Theater. Oysters. Campfire. Booze. Again. at the Tomales Bay Oyster Company in Point Reyes Station, Calif.
In the process of building a new theater complex with a restaurant and bar in downtown San Francisco, PianoFight is capitalizing on its time without a home with a sequel to last year's wildly successful Roughin' It. Featuring all-new, original material from local playwrights, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Tomales Bay at sunset, Roughin' It 2 includes live music from a full band, beer from a local brewery, and dollar oysters around a roaring campfire.
Tickets include a round-trip shuttle ride (21+) from San Francisco to the shorefront setting and audiences are encouraged to pack a picnic and BYO-Libations. The performances will happen Saturday, September 15th, 2012 and Saturday, September 22nd, 2012. Shuttles for PianoFight's Roughin' It 2 depart San Francisco at 4:00pm for the 6:00pm show time. Tickets are $50 with the shuttle-ride – $30 tickets are also available for those who prefer to drive themselves or are under 21-years-old – and can be purchased at www.pianofight.com.
Roughin' It 2 marks another step in the development of PianoFight's cutting-edge, audience-interactive brand of theater, with site-tailored material in a novel location. Fresh off a 5 city west coast tour, The Second Annual Endless Weekend Tour, and a month long, sold-out run of the world premiere ballet- horror-comedy Duck Lake, PianoFight returns with an elegantly rugged affair to remember. The grounds of the Tomales Bay Oyster Company offer unique and varied settings (a beach, a dock, a parking lot, a forest and a ring of campfires) and PianoFight spares no imagination shepherding audiences through each distinct stage area.
