Jamie Kennedy became a household name in the 1990s, having starred in the first three chapters of the box office smash-hit “Scream” franchise, now considered classics by horror movie buffs. Several successful film and television appearances later, Kennedy secured his place as a unique comic talent, culminating in “The Jamie Kennedy Experiment,” a modern spin on elaborate practical joke programming pioneered by “Candid Camera.” KENNEDY'S COURT, produced and distributed by Alphabird Studios and Jamie Kennedy Entertainment, brings the popular format to audiences online. The series debuts today at http://www.KennedyCourtSeries.com.
Each episode takes place on a courtroom set in Glendale, CA, featuring actuAl Small claims cases in need of deliberation. Kennedy vanishes into his role as one of four very different, yet equally demented, judges who oversee the proceedings only to turn the courtroom into a circus—unbeknownst to the plaintiff and defendant.
“This show establishes our presence in the industry as a creative house with top-tier production and talent, and further underscores our global reputation as an audience development leader,” said Chase Norlin, CEO of Alphabird.
The 25-episode series puts Kennedy among a rare set of entertainers who engage audiences across all forms of media, from the standup stage, to primetime television, to mainstream movies, and now the social Web.
“Jamie Kennedy’s vast talents are in abundance here and demonstrate his gift for improvisational comedy as well as his depth as a performer with each character he portrays,” said Russell Naftal, Alphabird’s SVP of Development and Programming. “When he puts on that makeup and takes on various accents and personalities he absolutely transforms.”
The first episodes of “Kennedy Court” are now available for viewing at http://www.KennedyCourtSeries.com.
