Mars Comedy and Comedy Hawaii presents "DOUG STANHOPE one night in HONOLULU" comedy show tonight, February 23rd 2013 in Aloha Beer Company at 580 North Nimitz Highway, Honolulu, HI. It is a stand-up comedy show starring Doug Stanhope, hosted by James Mane and features Junior Stopka, Michael C. Hall, Chad Wago, and Anthony Nigrelli.

Doug Stanhope is a stand-up comedian, actor, and author known for his abrasive, intelligent, and controversial comedy style. He started doing stand-up comedy in Las Vegas in 1990 and has since been performing all across the United States as well as in other countries. Such as, Montreal in Canada, Edinburgh in Scotland, and in London, England where his show was placed in the top 5 of the 20 Best Live Shows of 2009 by London's The Guardian newspaper. Doug is also a two-time winner of Time Out New York's "Best Comedy Performance of the Year". He was a host of The Man Show on Comedy Central and has also be seen on "The Howard Stern Show", "Comedy Central Presents", and most recently as the memorable character Eddie on FX's hit show "Louis".
Hosting the show will be Mars Comedy owner James Mane. James is part of the Guys with Issues Comedy Podcast who has recently done successful comedy showcases. Featuring in the show will be Junior Stopka, who won Best of Chicago Stand-Up Comedian of 2010 by the Chicago Reader and has performed all over the country. Also featuring in this show is Comedy Hawaii creator Michael C Hall who has been a key figure in the development of Hawaii's alternative comedy scene as well as a writer for national magazines Comic Bible and MMA Hawaii. There will be two openers for the show Chad Wago, who is a member of the Guys With Issues Comedy Podcast at Mars Comedy, and Anthony Nigrelli, who is a very funny and energetic comedian with a bright future.
Mars Comedy started in January 2012 and has always had the goal of developing and promoting the stand-up comedy scene here in Hawaii through social media, podcasting, and live comedy shows.
